Khami is a special little girl out of the "4th Dynasty" litter, that we believe was a preemie.  Half the size of the other puppies at birth, she fought for her fair share of the meals.  She was a great little courser and earned the nickname "Pocket Rocket", as her speed was deceiving due to her size.  The summer of 2000 was spent divided between the show ring and the coursing field.  Not only did she finish her show championship, but she also reached her Lure Courser of Merit title and ended the year as the #1 Pharaoh Hound in ASFA.  Khami surprised and pleased us with her many field accomplishments.  On May 13, 2000 she amazed us by winning Best in Field against very strong competition at the ASFA Region 7 Invitational.  On June 25 of the same year she again amazed us with her enthusiasm and endurance by winning Best in Field at the AKC Northeast Regional, over top ranked competition, in a startling and tiring 8 runs for the day.   

Now semi retired, she comes out every once in a while to go lure coursing, but is mostly content to keep the yard free of any little creatures from trespassing.
